Pay: £27,456 per year, plus tips

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager.

The Vale Resort is and Award Winning, Four Star Hotel, comprising of 143 bedrooms with five food outlets, two champion golf courses, and Wales largest Spa, Health & Racquets club. We also offer state of the art sporting facilities and host top flight international and club teams. Recent expansion of our Resort includes Hensol Castle, transformed into a luxury and unique wedding and events venue, providing extremely popular. Recent renovation of the Grad 1 listed Castle has now opened 20 luxury bedrooms along with award winning Distillery, gin school and visitor attraction tucked away in the cellar.

Working as part of the Food & Beverage team you will oversea the operation's whilst managing the team. Providing exceptional service for both our guests and members whilst ensuring departmental targets are achieved.

Main duties include:

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in achieving departmental targets, standards, and service levels
  • Monitoring the standard of products being served, frequently feeding back guest opinions and comments to the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager.
  • Manage any guest/member complaints in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that F&B standards comply with all current UK and EEC regulations.
  • Implement marketing promotions across the department, checking to ensure that POS meets trading standards legislation at all times.
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in monitor departmental performance ensuring overall sales targets are achieved, maximising sales through promoting up selling within the team.

The ideal candidate will have previous managerial experience in a restaurant environment. You will be required to be motivated, have excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. You will be confident whilst also having great attention to detail and excellent selling skills.

The role requires flexibility to work between the Resort’s opening hours and you must be able to work 5 days per week including Saturday’s, Sunday’s and Bank Holidays.
