The Vale Resort is an Award Winning, Four Star Hotel, comprising of a 143 bedroom with five food outlets, two championship golf courses, and Wales’ largest spa, health, and racquets club. We also offer state of the art sporting facilities and host top-flight international and club teams. Recent expansion of our Resort includes Hensol Castle, transformed into a luxury and unique wedding and events venue, proving extremely popular. Recent renovation of the Grade I listed Castle has now opened 20 luxury bedrooms along with award winning Distillery, gin school and visitor attraction tucked away in the cellar.
About the Role:
Working as part of the Resort management team, you will contribute to the general running of the Hotel by helping develop and implement the Company’s Business Plan across the F&B departments. Key priorities include:-
- Ensuring the highest quality of customer service by working with the department managers to ensure sales, stock, costs and staff performance is consistently managed.
- Taking ownership of all aspects of the Hensol Castle operation, ensuring the building is compliant and looking immaculate at all times. Developing Hensol Castle’s meeting & events offering.
- Monitoring and ensuring that departmental budgeted revenues and profits are achieved across all F&B outlets. Provide detailed sales, wages and cost forecasts on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Taking responsibility for all training and development, health and safety and legal aspects within Food & Beverage areas.
About you:
- You’ll be experienced in a working across a number of F&B departments, including Restaurant, Bars and Events.
- You'll have experience managing and developing a large team
- Enjoy working in a fast pace environment and able to adapt quickly to situations
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and cost allocations and have outstanding skills relating to guest relations.
