Hotel

Can you walk to Hensol Castle from the Vale Resort?

Yes you can, through our estate grounds. The walk will take 10 minutes at a leisurely pace. If you are a resident of the hotel you can also use our shuttle bus service. Just pop to reception and speak to a member of our team.

What are your breakfast times?

Monday - Friday 7am - 10am
Saturday - Sunday 7.30am - 10.30am

Do you have a car park?

Yes. Our estate has over 400 parking spaces free of charge to visitors

Spa

What do I wear to the spa?

Everyone attending our spa will receive a towel, robe and slippers on arrival. We advise you to bring your swimming costume to change during your time here.

Can I use the gym during my spa day?

Yes. During your spa day or break you will have full access to our spa and leisure facilities which includes our gym.

Is there anywhere to relax during my spa visit?

Absolutely - we have 5 relaxation rooms in our spa, perfect for a snooze after your treatment.

What time do I check in?

Check is from 3pm. However, you are welcome to use our leisure facilities from 12pm on the day you check in.

What time can I use the facilities if I’ve only booked a spa treatment?

If you have booked a treatment and not a spa break or day, you can use our spa facilities for one hour before your scheduled treatment and one hour afterwards.

Can I use the spa facilities if I’m coming on a leisure break?

If you are coming on a leisure break you are welcome to use our leisure facilities which include the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym.

Do you have a gentleman’s treatment list?

Whilst all of our spa treatments are unisex, we do have specific ones we recommend for gentlemen visiting our spa.

Golf

How long are the courses?

Both of our golf courses are championship level. Our Wales National Course is 7,433 yards can take up to 5 hours at a leisurely pace, and our Lakes Course is 6,436 yards can take up to 4 hours to complete.

How much is buggy hire?

Buggies are £42 per day and payable on the day of arrival at our golf pro shop.

Which is the best course?

This is down to personal preference, but our Welsh National Course is generally our preferred golf course and the most popular option of our visiting golfers.

Is there a dress code for the golf courses?

Yes. The Vale Resort requires an appropriate standard of dress on the golf course and in the clubhouse. No denim, tracksuits, football/rugby shirts or trainers are permitted on the golf course.

How much do lessons cost?

This depends on which coach you book. However, lessons start at £25 for 30 minutes and £50 for 60 minutes.

Stay

Is there a safe in the bedroom?

Yes. There are safe's in each of our 143 bedrooms.

Do you do room service?

Yes. Room service menus can be found in our bedrooms and online. Room service can be ordered 11am-10:30pm.

Is there complimentary water in the room?

Yes we provide one bottle of sparkling water and one bottle of still water in every bedroom. Any additional can be purchased from our Vale bar.

Is there a hairdryer in the bedroom?

A full size hairdryer is supplied in every bedroom for our guests.

Are there tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom?

Yes. Every room is provided with tea, coffee, kettle, sugar, sweetener and milk. These are replenished every day.

Business

Do you have car parking?

Yes. Our estate has over 400 parking spaces free of charge to visitors.

Do you have wifi?

Yes. Our wifi is completely free and available to log into upon arrival. Please ask a member of staff for assistance if required.

Can I have a lunch buffet option in the evening?

Our award winning chefs have put together some delicious day and evening buffet menus for delegates to enjoy. We are only able to provide our evening options after a certain time.

What are the minimum day delegates I can bring?

Minimum day delegates we host at the Vale Resort is 15.

Can I use your sports pitches for outdoor activities?

Unfortunately not, I'm afraid. Our sports pitches are exclusively for elite teams.

Can you arrange my place cards for my event?

We are unable to create your event’s place cards, however our team is more than happy to arrange them on to tables during set up. We can help with your seating plan.

Can I choose from any menu for my charity event?

Our chefs have produced a specific charity menu to accommodate all charity events at our resort.

Can I use your outdoor spaces for my team building activities?

Our outdoor spaces such as golf courses and sports pitches are exclusively for that use. We find room hire the best option for team building activities because you are sure to have exclusive use and a quieter space during busy times.

Wedding

What time is check in and check out?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is from 11am

How long will the Vale Resort provisionally hold the wedding date?

We will hold the date for two weeks. After this time we require a deposit for £1,000 to confirm your booking which is non-refundable and non-transferable.

What if we want a specific menu that is not on your menu list?

We are very flexible with our menus and are always delighted to discuss your individual thoughts although extra costs may be incurred.

Can you provide food for my suppliers?

If you decide to offer food for your suppliers e.g photographer, we will require pre-notice during your final details. This cannot be ordered on the day.

Do you take more than one wedding a day?

No, the Vale Resort only hosts one wedding a day. However, do keep in mind we’re an operating hotel with a spa and health club.

What are your opening hours?

Monday-Friday: 6am-10:30pm
Weekends & Bank Holidays: 7:30am-10pm
Facilities shut 30 minutes before closure time

Can I use the spa as part of my membership?

No, your membership includes access to our gym, classes, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, outdoor exercise areas, tennis and squash courts as well as discounts across the resort. See our full brochure for details.

What are your classes?

We have a wide range of classes throughout the week. Classes include spin, step & tone, zumba, pilates, body pump and more. Download the 'MyWellness' app for the full timetable or enquire at the leisure desk.

Occasions

How much is your baby shower package?

Our baby shower package is £25 per person, plus room hire (our conservatory).

When do I pay for my baby shower?

Your baby shower package should be paid for in full two weeks before.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a non refundable deposit at the time of booking. If you choose to cancel your event then this will be lost.

Sports Teams

Will our coaches be able to park?

Yes. We have ample parking to accommodate coach parking.

Can we have bedrooms on one floor?

We do our best to accommodate sports team bedrooms on the same floor, however due to configuration this isn't guaranteed.

Can you cater for our specific menus?

Yes, of course. Our expert chefs work closely with team nutritionists to accommodate specific menus.
